Neil Lennon, Celtic Manager, Answers Reporters Phone

I'm assuming this happened after a Celtic victory, because I've been in some press rooms after losses, and coaches generally aren't this cordial after a defeat.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon gets interrupted by a reporter's ringing phone and decides to take matters into his own hands:

It's pretty funny and probably embarassing in the upmost for the reporter.  Which coach would you most want answering your phone?

Greatest Goal Celebration of All Time? - Congo Goalkeeper

With the African Cup of Nations happening right now, the world is delighted with not only some great soccer, but some fantastic celebrations.

The best of all of them must be from Congolese keeper Muteba Kidiaba who does an incredible bum shuffle every time his team scores.

After a 2-2 draw with Ghana, the crowd got double the shuffle.

What do you think?  Any better celebrations out there?

How to be a Good Motorcycle Passenger

Ride Apart continues their great web video series this week with Jamie Robinson taking a much larger Matt Farrah for a ride.

This video is great if you are learning to ride a bike and especially if you are scared of riding or new to being a passenger.  I love the idea of using an empty backpack as a passenger arm-hold.  Makes for less awkward bro hugs.  Or ditch the backpack if you have a lovely partner you wouldn't mind a squeeze from.

Tony Beltran Reports from USMNT Camp

Tony Beltran, outside back from Real Salt Lake, was called into his first senior National Team camp and is having a great experience.

He shares his thoughts and feelings in a very cool journal entry from  Tony expresses the euphoria of finally getting his first chance with the Nats and the concern going into fitness testing.

It's a unexpectedly personal and in-depth look at what happens in USMNT camp.  Here's the article:

Meme of the Week - Whiny L.A. Galaxy Fans

L.A. Galaxy fans have it pretty good.  They have a sweet stadium, a well-funded organization, great players, and a great coach.  Not to mention the last two MLS Cups.

So it bugs me when I hear Galaxy fans complaining about anything.  Take a moment, step back, and enjoy what you have.  It could be a lot could be a Chivas USA fan.

Best Tackle of the Day - Koscielny Puts Arsenal Down to 10.

Laurent Koscielny made a better tackle than most of the Green Bay Packers when he brought down Edin Dzeko at the beginning of Arsenal's game vs Manchester City this morning.  City would go on to win 2-0 against a punchless, 10-man Gunner side.

You have to give Koscielny credit though.  He wraps up his man and brings him down before he can reach the goal line.  Too bad he forgot it was Football not Football.

Watch the tackle below:

Meme of the Week - Dysfunctional Cursed Toronto FC

Toronto FC made a big splash this week when they announced that current Queens Park Rangers defender Ryan Nelsen would be coming back to MLS to coach the Reds this upcoming season.  There is only one, tiny complication: Nelsen is still under contract and England.

So, in typical dysfunctional TFC fashion, they are moving ahead with former Div. III college coach Fran O'Leary as their acting coach until Nelsen is done playing this season.

Nelsen is TFC's eighth head coach in seven years.  It seems like GM Kevin Payne (appointed this off season) isn't afraid to roll the dice at his new digs (he spent 1994-2012 with D.C. United).  I guess it can't get much worse, right?

USMNT January Camp Roster Named - Some New Faces

Jurgen Klinsmann has named the roster for the January US Men's National Team camp.  This camp is generally a good chance to see some of the nation's younger players and give a chance to the fringe guys to make an impression.  I'm excited for several of the guys on this list.

Tony Beltran (RSL): I met Tony three years ago when he was just starting out with RSL and I couldn't have been more impressed.  He has been consistant in the RSL backline and took over the starting job long before Robbie Russell left for D.C.  With a lack of depth in the USMNT at left back, Tony could open some eyes and get some shouts this year.

Matt Besler (SKC): After winning MLS Defender of the Year, Besler finally gets his chance to play for  the US boss.  The national team once had five or six potential starters at CB, but with injuries and form issues, it's thought that Geoff Cameron is the only bonifide lock.  Besler is looking for a chance at that second spot.

Edson Buddle (COL):  Interesting that Edson Buddle is one of the surprise pick.  In 2010, people were clamoring (myself included) for him to get more minutes on the full national team.  The last two years have been some to forget for Buddle.  Maybe a move to Colorado and a good January camp can turn his luck back around.

Pipeburn's Best Bikes of 2012 - Rides

We love custom bikes and the popular blog Pipeburn recently released their list of the top 10 custom bikes of 2012.  I think it's a pretty solid list and wouldn't mind riding nearly every one.

It definitely inspires me to work a bit more on spicing up my own ride.  Click HERE to see the whole list which was topped off at number one by this Honda GP250R.  It's a dirt bike, turned road shredder that's pretty dang awesome.

Which bike on that list is your favorite?  If you could have any bike in the world, what would it be?

Meme of the Week - No Such Thing as 1 Game of FIFA

Gets on FIFA to play "one quick game."

Three hours later, "oh crap, I'm late."

U.S. Men's National Team Year In Review - 2012

It was a fun and eventful year for the USMNT.  Between a victory in Italy, reaching the final round of World Cup qualifying, and a pulse-pounding draw in Russia, there was a lot to be proud of.

The boys in red, white, and blue were never short on drama and there was a strong feeling of progression as the team grew in Jurgen Klinsmann's system.

I hope 2013 brings much joy to the USMNT as they compete in the Gold Cup and attempt to qualify for the World Cup.
