Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Official Movie Trailer Launched

I grew up with four heroes: Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Rafael.  From the first movie to Secret of the Ooze and all the cartoons in between, I love the turtles.

This love makes me nervous about this summer's release of a new, live-action, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.  Produced by Michael Bay and directed by Jonathan Leibsman (Battle Los Angeles, Wrath of the Titans), it certainly will look good, but will it tell a good story.

The biggest worry when you have a team of great stylists is that the script gets glossed over.  The results are generally atrocious (Transformers 2, anybody?).  The hope is that the writers can use the beloved source material and use today's technology to make it another classic for this generation.  I'm optimistic.

Jonathan Bornstein Only US Player Called Up for USA vs Mexico

Earlier today, Jurgen Klinsmann and US Soccer announced the roster for the upcoming friendly against Mexico.  In a surprising move, the only player called into the camp is current Tigres UANL player (on loan to Atlante) Jonathan Bornstein.  Bornstein is expected to play every position on the field.

"We have been scouting Jonathan very much in the last two years," Klinsmann said, with a wry smile, "He is the secret weapon we have been hiding.  We're very excited to bring him in and see what he's capable of against a very good Mexico team."

When asked what kind of tactics the team would employ in the game, Klinsmann gave a charming chuckle and said, "I can't give you guys everything.  Needless to say, Jonathan will play a key role."

Bornstein was shocked by the news.  Having been left off of the USA squad since 2011, he figured his international career was over.

"Honestly, I was chillin' with some of my teammates in this dive bar when my phone goes off.

Michael Bradley is a Confirmed Cyborg

Finally, photos have surfaced of US Soccer and Toronto FC star Michael Bradley that prove he is, in fact, half man half machine.  See the evidence below:

You can clearly see the exposed metal plating and some wires there underneath the beautiful and very realistic head skin.  Hopefully FIFA doesn't take notice.  Not sure how they feel about National Teams using performance-enhancing robots.

MLS Meme of the Week - Michael Bradley's Head Staples

In case you missed it, Michael Bradley of Toronto FC was in a collision that left him with a bloddy gash on the side of his head.  Normally, this kind of wound would be wrapped up and covered and never seen again, but Michael Bradley has one of the more famous bald heads in all of US Soccer.  Here's a pic snapped in the locker room after the game:

Nobody questions Bradley's commitment and toughness anymore after years of out-running and out-muscling nearly everybody he's played against.  So, to you Mr. Bradley, this meme of the week is dedicated:
